I told the story of one of the best decisions I ever made — one nearly everyone around me thought was wrong. In 2016, facing a National Taxation Bureau claim for more than a million dollars in overdue taxes, and lawyers who insisted the case was unwinnable in Taiwan, I chose to fight.
Across six years and two round losses, I rejected pressure to out of court settle, rebuilt the case with new evidence and arguments, and ultimately won in 2022 — saving over a million dollars permanently.
